Correct Dry Heating

Requirements and Preparations
Prior to laying your PAMINO parquet, your heating screed must be completely dry. Only then is it ready for a floor covering. The establishment of measurement points is necessary for this purpose. If no measurement points are present, your floor-laying specialist cannot reliably conduct the remaining sub-floor inspections for moisture in your heating screed since the heating system would possibly be damaged. The following preparation and laying measures are therefore absolutely indispensable and of decisive importance. Please remember that the drying of the heating screed must be done by means of warming and cooling with heating pauses prior to laying PAMINO parquet.

For start-up inspection, the heating screed is first warmed up. Only after this is dry heating carried out two times.

Dry Heating of Your Heating Screed
As the building owner, you should pay close attention to the following details or have them carried out by the responsible authority:

The waiting time for the floor screed from its creation until the start of the pre-heating measures should be at least 21 days.

In pre-heating (from the 22nd day), the supply temperature should be increased daily by 5 °C until the full (maximum) heating performance is achieved. This maximum temperature must be maintained for at least one day per centimetre of heating screed thickness.

Finally, the heating screed should be cooled again by reducing the supply temperature daily by around 5 °C.

After this, the dry heating as described above is to be repeated.

The course of the pre-heating and cooling measures should be recorded in the prepared Pamino Heating Record. The duration of the pre-heating and cooling phase should be consist of at least 14 days.

This schedule contains the minimum in pre-heating days. Every additional day is useful for the dispersal of moisture and provides additional certainty.

In conclusion, your PAMINO parquet can be laid in accordance with DIN 18356 at a floor screed surface temperature of +15 °C and relative humidity of 50 to 60 %.

After your PAMINO parquet has been laid, please maintain the previously-described climate for one week (setting time or hardening time for the glue). The pre-heating plan and the accompanying record can be found in the leaflet, "Heating Record". Please enter these necessary values and carry out the measures indicated there step-by-step. If you do not carry out these activities yourself, please have them done by a specialist and confirm that they have indeed been completed.
