Cleaning In the first few days, only dry-clean your Pamino parquet. You should also only lay carpets onto your freshly sealed/oiled parquet flooring after approximately 14 days. After this initial period, you can then also wet-clean your parquet. Cleaning frequency is completely up to your own personal hygiene standards. First remove larger particles with a mop, broom or vacuum cleaner. Afterwards, lukewarm water is sufficient for removing finer dust and soiling. But please do not pour any water onto your parquet flooring. Wring out the cloth thoroughly and only damp-clean your parquet flooring. Heavy soiling, stains or rubber marks can usually be removed with vigorous rubbing. Be careful however with sharp objects, since these could damage the lacquer layer of your sealing. With sealed floors, you can also add a little vinegar to the mopping water to increase the cleaning effect. In rooms that are not heavily used and subsequently do not require cleaning as often, you can also add a little Pamino Floor Care Liquid to the mopping water. The care procedure that is described in the next section then does not have to be carried out as often. For oiled floors, please use Pamino Soap Cleaner as a cleaning agent in order to prevent greying of the surface. Manual or mechanical basic cleaning of the parquet flooring is only recommended in the event of heavy soiling. Consult a Pamino dealer ideally in this regard. Care New Floors With freshly sealed/oiled floors, the maximum hardening is generally only achieved after a few days. For this reason, do not walk on your PAMINO parquet floor too early. Place felt cushions under the legs of your chairs and tables to protect the lacquer surface from heavy scratches. In workplaces with a desk, it is best to place a transparent protective mat under chairs fitted with wheels. The more gently you treat your parquet in the first few days, the longer the serviceable life of the surface. Regular Maintenance The The frequency of maintenance depends on the use of your rooms. In rooms that are used less frequently, maintenance once or twice a year is sufficient. With medium use (hallways, steps, office space), maintenance should be carried out once or twice a month. For heavy use (restaurants, barracks, schools), maintenance is recommended once a week. In any case, maintenance is recommended if the surface is scratched or shows other damage. Sealed Parquet Floors PAMINO Floor Care Liquid is applied in a very thin layer with a non-fuzzy cloth and distributed evenly, so that no streaks can form. After a short time it is absorbed into the surface and your parquet shines again like new. Subsequent polishing is not necessary. Oiled Parquet Floors Maintenance is best conducted here with PAMINO Floor Maintenance Oil. The oil is applied either by hand with a non-fuzzy cloth/pad or mechanically, and then polished in evenly. You can also use a spray-head and subsequently polish the oil in with a cloth/pad. The oil should then be allowed to be absorbed and dry for approximately 4 hours. Oiled/Wax Impregnated Parquet Floors In the event that you have selected a wax or oil/wax impregnated surface, consult your flooring specialist. |
